Hello, Today we welcome Stockton to Talbot Park. Stockton are one of our “keenest rivals” and also one of our closest friends, ties between the two clubs go back many years and there are quite a few players have played for both teams. However the pressure today is on Acklam after we try and make up for the hammering we received against West last Saturday. Stockton on the other hand are having a wonderful season and currently sitting 4th in D & N 1. Acklam are in the bottom 4 but we are in my mind safe from relegation, with 2 “easier games” to come after todays encounter. Elsewhere in the club the Talbots are without a game but looking forward to their upcoming “semi final” in the Yorkshire Intermediate Cup. The Hustlers travel to Seaton with I would imagine a full squad. I would like to welcome all the supporters from both clubs, in what promises to be a “tough day at the office”and I am looking forward to meeting up and having a pint or two with some old friends and adversaries.
Steve Elsworth President Acklam.
