Acle United boss David Coyle continued to add to his squad by parading new signing Curtis Fulcher for the trip to Mattishall.

The home side had the advantage of the wind in the first half and pushed the A's back in the opening exchanges with Kingsley Barnes tipping over the bar, preventing Mattishall going ahead.
But with Lewis and Holmes leading the line up front and the cultured presence of Fulcher in midfield the A's looked very dangerous on the break and it was Man of the Match Ben Lewis who led the way powering clear of his marker to tuck the ball away in the far corner to put Acle in front 1-0.
Lewis and Holmes then combined in the box but Holmes's effort cleared the bar.
Dade then threw his long throw into the box as Lewis saw his header saved by the keeper's outstretched leg on the goal line. Mattishall responded by sending in a cross from the right but the ball was turned wide of the post. Acle then played the ball over the top for Lewis who lobbed the ball inches over the bar.
The game was very much an even contest and the ever reliable Cooper took one for the team from the excellent referee as he pulled back his marker to collect a yellow card.
Lewis unselfeshly played in Holmes but the shot went over the bar. Cooper then blocked the ball for his life, before Huckle crashed the ball against the bar to deny the equaliser.
The teams turned round with Acle leading 1-0.
Early in the second half the A's doubled their advantage as a result of a free kick won by Ben Lewis as he was hauled back on the edge of the box. Upped stepped the evergreen goal a game man Chris Holmes to take the kick and after the referee gave his permissiion to restart the game, he found the bottom corner despite the Mattishall protests.
Bullent was introduced for the second period and once again caused havoc up front and won everything in the air including two headers on goal.
Huckle was lively up front for the home side and again went close, but Barnes was quick to react on his goaline to keep the ball out. Forder and Greenslade were also having influential games in a team performance that now is showing Acle to be as good as any squad in the league. Acle were winning the second half in terms of possession and chances as once again Lewis raced away to cross for Holmes to see his shot blocked. Then a free kick saw Lewis head narrowly over before fabulous skill from Bullent saw him beat 2 players before shooting over. Lewis was again the provider as he galloped away from his man before delivering a telling ball across the face of goal. Lewis then whipped in a cross for Aaron Bullent who saw his header crash against the bar.
Mattishall came back into the game in the last 10 minutes but with Fulcher running the show in midfield and the strength of the Acle bench all involved this was another top performance from an Acle side that played the better football to create a host of chances, to send the travelling Acle faithful home in good spirits.
