A brace of goals by Harrison Tooley helped Acle United to another 3 points to defeat Bradenham Wanderers 2-1.

Manager Challen was without Foreman, Smith and Coleto-Cano, and the home side got off to the worst possible start when the Wanderers striker nodded home a cross with less than two minutes on the clock.

United were guilty of too many long balls, and were not able to replicate the excellent form of recent weeks. After a number of free kicks, the A's got back in the game when Lucas Bull-Anthony touched on a delivery into the box for Tooley to guide the ball home for 1-1.

Diggins was put in wide on the right but shot from an impossible angle with players awaiting his cross. Ironically, it was a long ball from Bull-Anthony that was played into the path of Tooley whose pace saw him race away from his defender to tuck the ball in the corner of the net for 2-1 to the home side.

Tooley then had a golden opportunity to hit his first hat-trick for United when Josh Carus played an inch perfect ball over the top but on this occasion, he rushed his shot to let the Wanderers off the hook.

Nothing much was getting past Carus and Bull-Anthony at the heart of the Acle rear-guard, and United could have gone two clears when a lovely short corner routine, saw Brooks plant a header inches wide.

The teams turned around 2-1 at the break, and Bradenham came more into the game in the second half. All three Acle Substitutes were used and the Wanderers had a good opportunity when Brooks fouled his man on the edge of the box but the free kick came to nothing.

Diggens did well to create space down the flanks but on one occasion shot high and wide, before Luke Thacker showed great strength to hold off his man as he shot narrowly over.

Acle looked the more likely to score, but lost Bull-Anthony to a nasty injury. Ricky Forder was again running the midfield for the A's and Bita Kiza looked impressive at full back on as a replacement for the injured Ryan Fisher.

Acle were comfortable in completing the double over the Wanderers, and with players to come back into the squad,

Manager Challen must be looking forward to the new season ahead, as Acle United confirmed that he will again be again in charge at Bridewell Lane next season.

Acle United: S Foreman, S Brooks, R Fisher, L Bull-Anthony, J Carus, P Kelf, G Diggens, R Forder, H Tooley, D Hogston, J Snelling. Subs all used: E Kitopi, B Kiza, L Thacker.
