Manager Challen paraded 5 new signings but there were a couple of errors from the old guard that presented the home side with a point.
United looked the busier of the two sides early on, as new boy Rob Warminger beat his man before thundering his shot inches wide.
Acle got caught in possession on the half way line and from a swift break Stratton took the league as Benrose guided the ball into an empty net.
Rob Warminger was man of the match as he led the line superbly and from one of his flicks on Jamie Smith finished well to square the game at 1-1. Warminger then stung the gloves of Collinge with a fierce strike before the impressive Bobby back with United combined with Smith to force a corner.
Smith too was having a fine game, but could have put the A's in front but wasn't able to finish with just the keeper to beat. Meanwhile at the other end Stratton forced a number of corners most of which headers cleared the bar, as United lacked a dominant presence in the air.
The teams turned around all square, as there was little in it during the second half. Challen changed matters with the introduction of Rosario for Smith and then Tooley for Diggins, as fresh legs gave Acle the impetus and it was that man Warminger who gave Acle the lead when rising powerfully to nod home for 2-1.
Foreman was having little to do in the away goal but could do nothing to prevent the equaliser. Fisher opted to beat his man in the left back position and after being dispossessed hauled his man down only to see the free kick duly dispatched by Page for a share of the spoils.
Both Brooks and Tooley had great chances to seal the deal, but both were saved by Collinge, as Acle were left to reflect on two mistakes on their left-hand side that cost two goals and two valuable points.
