Penalty thriller

I just thought it appropriate to say how proud Adam and I are of the lads who played yesterday: Vini, Samuel, Jake, Louie T,Dan, Louie C, Pavan, Ollie, Munashe, Angus, Marco and Joe. An outstanding effort against a hard working team you could do no more.

The way you played for each other was absolutely terrific and your maturity in how you ran the game yourself requiring hardly any input from Adam or I shows what a fine bunch of young men you are turning into.

Going out on penalty kicks is no shame and props to all the guys who took one and to Vini got in particular one outstanding penalty save. I’m still trying to work out how you managed to manoeuvre your body in mid air to get to it. Insanely good.

To the guys who weren’t there please make sure you congratulate the players on Tuesday night, they represented you and our club with great sportsmanship and dignity.
