16-y-o Zain, pictured with the last year's U16 cup winners, was named in the starting XI in their Checkatrade Trophy game at St James Park. Bristol Rovers lost the game but would go on to qualify from the group.

He appeared 12 times for the Under 16s last season scoring 15 goals. In the Tandridge League Cup Final he would score a last minute goal that took the tie against Whyteleafe to penalty kicks which the Young Rams won lifting the trophy again.
