Once again the Brook conceded an early goal immediately putting themselves under pressure as on 10 minutes failure to clear a corner allowed Horley No 5 Adam Pullin to open the scoring.
The Brook were immediately on the attack looking to equalize & on 18 minutes Victor Montes was through on the Horley keeper George Hyde but his shot was well saved by Hyde.
Both sides were finding it difficult to retain possession & the game became very scrappy but on 30 minutes Ryan Debattista saw his well struck shot blocked & 10 minutes later Montes had his shot turned round the post for a corner which was cleared.
Half-Time arrived with the Brook still looking for an equalizer.
On 56 minutes the Brook replaced Mason Yorke with Harry Bishop.
The Brook equalizer finally arrived in the 60th minute when Victor Montes free kick found GEORGE HARMES unmarked at the far post & he volleyed pasy Hyde for his 1st goal for the Brook.1-1
By now the Brook were enjoying the better possession but were unable to break down the solid home defence.On 64 minutes from another free kick Harmes shot was straight at the home keeper who saved comfortably.
With the clock ticking away it was Horley who looked the more likely to snatch a winner as they pressed forward putting the visiting defence under considerable pressure.On 89 minutes Bramwell in the visitors goal kept the Brook in the game with a fine save.However the curse of the Brook struck in the last minute oif normal time when a silly free kick was conceded out on the right,From the resultant kick the ball was fired in & saw Adam Pullin get a touch & his header flew past the stranded Bramwell,for his 2nd goal of the match & what proved to be the winning goal.
A disappointing end for the Brook after they had worked hard to get back in the match.
