Royals fans are being urged to back the ladies side as they look to secure more silverware this weekend.

AFC Portchester Ladies still have a trophy treble in their sights after already securing the Hampshire County Womens League’s Invitation Cup.

The Division 2 Royals beat first division Bursledon Ladies in the final 6-0.

This Sunday, May 8, the Royals are returning to the Winklebury Complex in Basingstoke for the Hampshire FA Women’s Trophy final.

They will be taking on Eastleigh in the Community Reserves - the side they are battling with to win the Hampshire Division 2 title.

The cup final kicks-off at 3pm and the club are urging as many supporters as possible to make the trip to north Hampshire to cheer the ladies side on.

Vice chairman and acting chairman Graeme Moir said: “The ladies side continues to go from strength to strength and they are growing rapidly - both in terms of their progress and the interest from supporters.

“This part of the club is growing very quickly and the ladies have proven their strength and ability once again with another excellent season.

“This is a great opportunity to see them in action and cheer them on their way to winning another trophy. The backing from supporters is much appreciated by them.”

A coach has been booked to transport the players and supporters to the game. It will be leaving The OnSite Group Stadium at 12.15pm on Sunday, with breakfast available from 11.30am.

Seats on the coach cost £10 each. To book your place email afcportchesterfansgroup@gmail.com
