AFC Portchester now know who all of their opponents will be in the national FA competitions during the opening weeks of the season.

The Royals start their Emirates FA Cup campaign in the very first round of the competition – the Extra Preliminary Round.

They have been drawn at home to United Services Portsmouth – just four days after the two sides meet at The OnSite Group Stadium on the opening night of the Velocity Wessex League season.

The FA Cup tie is a home one for Portchester and it will take place on Saturday, August 3. The winners of the tie will receive £1,125 in prize money while the losers get £375.

A trip to Hamble Club or Westbury United in the Preliminary Round stage awaits the Royals if they get through their first tie. The game will take place on Saturday, August 17, with the winners receiving £1,444 and the losers picking up £481.

In the Isuzu FA Vase, AFC Portchester will make the short trip to Baffins Milton Rovers for their First Qualifying Round tie on Saturday, August 24 – just four days after the same game takes place in the Velocity Wessex League Premier Division.

The winners of this tie will receive £550 and the losers get £160.

In the Second Qualifying Round a home tie awaits if the Royals get through, when Andover New Street or Lymington Town will be the visitors on Saturday, September 21.

The winners of this tie get £725, with £225 going to the losers.

AFC Portchester’s under-18s side know who they will face in the Preliminary Round stage of the FA Youth Cup. They face a trip to Wimborne Town during the week commencing September 2.
