Steve Rutter, Head of Football and Education at AFC Portchester, said: "To have Leeta on board as our new head of the girl's academy really shows the ambition the club has and how much we want to offer girls a proper professionally-run academy with a football and education pathway.

"Leeta's knowledge and experience in women's professional football at academies and as a player will provide all our girls coaching, mentoring, support and guidance of the highest level.

"I am looking forward to working with her and building our successful girls' program we have at the club."

Leeta said: " I have seen AFC Portchester grow their girls and women's football over the past few years and I am really excited to join the club and head up the girl's academy.

"I have played the game professionally for many years and to now be able to use the knowledge and experience I have gained to coach and teach the girls is very exciting.

"I am looking forward to working with Steve and everyone at the club, and cannot wait to get started."
