First Round For AFC

THE county’s two top-ranked teams are to meet in the second round of the Suffolk FA Women’s Cup sponsored by HomeStore Self Storage.

Holders Ipswich Town Ladies will entertain Lowestoft Town in the second round of this season’s competition on October 18th.

Both teams are playing in Division One South East of the Women’s Premier League this season.

Ipswich, who defeated Lowestoft in the 2012-13 final, beat AFC Sudbury 2-0 in last season’s final at Bury Town FC. Ipswich players are pictured above celebrating following their victory over Lowestoft in the final at Portman Road two years ago.
