Law has been a such a good influence on the club both as a player and as a manager... oh and as a groundsman! You know you have a person who cares about the club when they give up their time to tend to the pitch.
He has been an excellent player for the V's dictating the tempo of matches (normally a bit slower) and spraying quality passes around the pitch. After it became clear Kev Keehan would have to reluctantly step down due to work commitments, Law said to me 'Well if you can't find anyone else I suppose I could do it.' My reply was 'Great you're appointed!
He not only kept the squad together but added a few players and despite his reluctance to manage he has kept us in the top 2 over the last two seasons which has resulted in promotion. It's fair to say he had a laid back approach to management but at the same time didn't pull any punches both in team selection and also in telling the players directly what he thought of their performances.
The club wishes him all the best in the future. It's been a blast.
