I for one am immensely proud of the 12 Aldermaston players on that pitch today. Would like to thank chineham rfc for lending us richard Holland too. With the score at 21-8 at half time it looked like we were out of the game but shear determination, grit and some awesome tackling got us the ball and brought score back to 21-16. Ian Martin controlled the backline like an old pro and his awesome showing of the ball created many gaps. The tries were very well worked and when we were in control it was quite scary for the opposition. Belam soldiered on for more than half a game with a nasty thigh injury however painfully was he would not leave the field - a true warrior. After struggling with players in and out all morning I was of the belief that we were goners today but it made me smile and you all proved to me that there still is lots of spirit in this squad, we cannot get any lower so the only way is up if every player had the commitment and determination of this very small band of players we would be an awesome outfit that would kick every other team around the park. Let's all make the effort please we have some big games coming up and I will say it again we cannot survive with only a handful of players.
