The Mini Rugby Section (Minis) includes all children from Primary 1 (U6) to Primary 7 (U12). All boys and girls within this age group are welcome. The rules of the game for Mini rugby are based on age groups and are governed by the IRB (International Rugby Board). Primary 1 to Primary 3 concentrate on a basic understanding of the game delivered through various games played with the children. Primary 4 to Primary 7 concentrates on the development of basic skills and game scenarios. The two main objectives at this level of rugby are enjoyment and safety. Neither scrums nor lineouts are introduced until primary 6, and when introduced they are uncontested. Mini rugby does not involve a competitive league, however we do organise both home and away games with many local clubs to introduce the children to game scenarios.
