Great credit to the Schools of Rugby and Alloa RFC, as it was wonderful seeing nineteen under 14s playing in ARFC colours against Kirkcaldy yesterday afternoon.
Many of the boys were playing their first proper game of rugby and they displayed a great attitude in never giving up against a much more experienced and bigger side.
Also thanks to all who showed ARFC at its best today - from the smooth running of the excellent catering provided, to the numerous coaches helping the kids through the game and to everyone who made the parents of both sides welcome. Also a big thank you to our 1st XV Physio, Erin McIntyre for her touchline duties.
It was also great to see our under 16s stay and cheer on the younger kids after their earlier training session.
I thought the kids were a credit to their parents, themselves, the schools, the club and to the coaches at the school - John Hesketh & Duncan McKinstray.
Hope all the kids and parents enjoy the school holidays and we are all now looking forward to a double header at both U14s & U16s against the Kelpies at ARFC on 24th Feb.
Thanks to all
