On a blustery day at Novos, in front of a strong support, a determined Alnwick team overcame a gritty Morpeth performance 11-7 in a fiercely contested match, to lift the County Cup for the first time since 1984.
Falling behind and agaist the wind in the second half, our never-say-die attitude saw James Warcup score the winning try after which we controlled the match until the final whistle.
Well done lads from everyone in the Club for an outstanding display in such difficult conditions and commiserations to Morpeth who put up such a valiant effort to win.
