Update from Club President

Dear members and friends of AKRFC,

First and foremost, I very much hope you are all safe and well.

Altrincham Kersal has always been, and always will be a real family club and in these strange times I hope we can all stick together and help each other out wherever we can.  If you know of anyone who might just benefit from some contact, please pick up the phone, have a chat and see if they need anything.

I was delighted and so proud that Paul Taylor, our new Chef and Mark Povey, have set up the AK community kitchen and are providing fantastic low cost meals for people. Please try and support this initiative and spread the word to those who may be in need of a good cooked meal, especially those now confined to their homes. Details are on our website, www.pitchero.com/clubs/altrinchamkersalrfc.

Although rugby is perhaps already at the back of our minds, I would like to thank all those players, coaches, parents, supporters of all teams, together with our bar and kitchen staff, for their fantastic efforts throughout this season.  I know for some, league and cup ambitions many have been cut short, but I am sure you will all come back very well rested and raring to go when the new season gets underway.

Obviously, we are still unsure as to when we will be able to return to some sort of normality and I very much hope that everyone will pull together to help get this fabulous club back and operating to full capacity as soon as possible.

I can’t help but feel a big welcome back to AK party will be in order when we get through this!

Please stay safe and see you all soon.
