We expect you will have seen on the news or heard on the grapevine that Grassroots football has been postponed with immediate effect...

The FA has announced that all grassroots footballing activity is postponed with immediate effect.

This means that all training, matches, competitions and club meetings are cancelled. The FA has taken these steps in the best interests of us all in view of the current Coronavirus pandemic.

After several months of wet weather and postponements, this is very frustrating but it is a stance that we fully support. Amaranth will never knowingly put any of our players, parents, supporters or club officials at any form of risk.

The Senior Committee have discussed this issue and have taken the decision that all forms of subs will be suspended with immediate effect. Amaranth spreads in annual costs out to a monthly fee and our winter period is our most expensive due to additional training costs, however we believe that this time, this is the right thing to do. Many of you may be worried about the next few months and we do not want to add any additional stresses to you at this time.

You do not need to take any action. As we currently collect payments by Direct Debit, you do not need to cancel anything. No payments will be requested.

We will review this decision once we can resume normal footballing activities.

Please note: If you currently owe any subs, these are still due however we will cease to attempt to collect this at this time. You can still make a payment if this causes you no hardship.

At present there is no indication when this suspension may be lifted but we will keep you informed as soon as we hear anything.

In the meantime, Amaranth is a Community Charter Standard Club and our place in our communities is important to us. Whilst we might not be meeting at the moment, please be assured that the club will support you however we can across this period. In turn, we hope that you all can support your communities, especially those in need over this period.

We hope you stay healthy and well and we look forward to welcoming you back to the club in the near future

Chairman
Amaranth FC
(on behalf of the Senior Committee)
