United sent DHS into bat and Muhammad Tahla had Zayyan Salie caught by Jamie Bowick in the opening over. Wickets continued to tumble as Bowick claimed three wickets with DHS reaching 16 for 4 in the sixth over. Only Rahim Razak (17 from 42 balls) was to reach double figures as the introduction of Craig Ross brought a further two wickets as the home side reached 32 for 6 in the ninth over. Razak was finally ninth out as Bowick and Ross both claimed a further two wickets as DHS were dismissed for 48 in the 15th over. When United batted Angus Fraser and Mark Edwards (11 from 17 balls) took the total to 32 in the ninth over before Edwards was bowled by Kalhan Pathak. This proved the only success for DHS as Fraser (unbeaten 18 from 57 balls) and Alex Stott (unbeaten 8 from 20 balls) took United to a nine wicket victory in the 16th over.
