The IRFU has taken the unprecedented decision to cancel ALL rugby matches below All Ireland League due to COVID19.

The Irish Rugby Football Union, announced last night that they have decided to reduce the number of permitted games across all 4 provinces.

This means that with immediate effect only matches in the Energia Men’s and Women’s Community Series are currently permissible aka All Ireland league.

No other adult or underage fixtures including competitive and friendly matches are permitted.

Cancelled matches will see both teams awarded 2 points for a 0-0 draw.

Training is still allowed to continue however IRFU Guidance is that this should be non-contact only and should take place in pods of 15.

These measures will remain in place for all competitions until the 27th October, however there will be an ongoing review.
