Hi everyone and first and foremost I hope everyone is safe and well. It's been a long number of months and I know it has been tough. Not only in terms of physical health but in well being as well. The season was cut miserably short with lock down . We didn't get our blitz nor did we get our end of season party to celebrate the kids development and progression. The good news is that we are going to acknowledge the kids with one on Sunday 23rd August! We are going to have party for them. It will run from 2.00 pm until 4.00 pm. We will be running safe activities, providing a barbecue and talking to you as parents about the upcoming season. Talking to you will be around the safety procedures that the club has put in place. What sessions for next season are going to look like and what we will need from you and the kids in the coming months. The club has put safety measures and practises in place to ensure we can run our sessions come September. We also plan to give something tangible and useful to the kids at the party. Instead of the usual medals and trophies we've have managed to procure a ball for each of the kids. This will be for all the kids from last season and will be theirs to keep. It will be awarded to them on the day by their coaches and it will be size appropriate for them. The kids are the lifeblood of the club and we thought as coaches giving them a ball was a way to stay connected to Rugby. I'm sure there are going to be many more ups and downs and I don't think normal is a word we will be able to use for a long time. That said we are determined at the club for the kids to develop and grow their love for Rugby whilst keeping them safe. Looking forward to seeing as many of you as can make it on the 23rd August.
