Young volunteers from Ards Youth Rugby were recently recognised for their contribution to Ards Rugby with a GoldMark award.
Hailing from Kircubbin and Ards, volunteers Callum O’Hanlon, Lena Bell and Jamie Mayne each achieved a Goldmark accolade for their 100 hours of volunteering at Ards Rugby by assisting at Club Summer Camps and weekly by assisting with event management, social media, and rugby outreach training.
GoldMark aims to recognise and reward the volunteering efforts of young people in sport. There are 3 levels of award - 50 hours, 100 hours and 200 hours.
Certificates are awarded for all three levels. GoldMark requires our young volunteers to record their volunteering activities and hours, get them signed off by our club co-ordinator Brendan O’Hanlon who sends them on to Ulster Rugby for award.
Well done to all involved
