Ards 2nds had disappointing game against a Queens side full of speed and agility. In a competitive first half, Ards held their own but the warning signs were there as the Queens backs showed they were more than capable of exploiting any holes in the Ards defence.
All Ards had to show for their first half efforts was a converted try by outhalf Stewart Paul who finished off a clean line break made by centre Oren Kisby. Queens were clinical and took their chances scoring 3 tries, 2 of which were converted.

A second half collapse was the main contributor towards this defeat in an otherwise completive first half. Ards were unable to match he athleticism of Queens in the second half, who ran the ball wide at every opportunity scoring a further 4 tries.
Ards scored a consolation try through winger Trevor Devlin, but as Queens ran out 12-49 winners.
