Ards u16 hosted Larne u16 in their 3rd league game of the season at Hamilton park. Weather conditions were not great but the grounds were still in fantastic shape.
Attempting to keep the momentum going after their last win, Ards came out ready for a game. With both sides equal in size, the forwards were in for a hard time but they rose to the occasion. Hitting the rucks and clearing out, the forwards dominated the game.
This in turn allowed the game to flow through the backline and stretch the wide of the pitch. Weather played a big part in game tactics for both sides but it was Ards that won out in the end. With a score of 36-0, these young men are beginning to find their stride and long may it continue. A break in fixtures this week but the youth section will be supporting their idols on Friday night at the kingspan stadium.
Big thank you to Head coach John west and Paddy McGrattan for helping out these past few weeks and giving the boys a glimpse of senior warm up techniques.
