Match Report U11s 24/04/21

A beautiful morning seeing the last home game for U11s. We had a smaller squad for todays game but everyone was positive and that really showed.
We started well and Harry had to make some good saves to keep the scores level.

We started to get on top midway through the first half and from a Sam`s corner Harvey found space and majestically headed the ball home to put us one 1-0 up.
Just a minute later Harvey poked the ball home after a goal mouth scramble to make it 2-0.

Alex and Kasper made some great tackles at the back and William linked well with the midfield to keep the attacks from Pumas to a minimum. Ted won a lot of battles in midfield to keep us in control.
Then just before half time Sam dribbled the ball past 2 players on the edge of the box and made it 3-0.
Jayden played really well in midfield and worked well with Sam
In the second half we looked more in control and Matthew was causing havoc down the left hand side and scored just 5 minutes in to make it 4-0.
Sam had to leave the field with his recurring injury.
Ollie made some good tackles in defence and played the ball into midfield really well.

Matthews pace and determination then paid off and got his second with 10, minutes left.

Kasper moved into midfield not long after and scored a lovely goal with a great strike from the edge of the box.
It looked like it was going to finish 6-0 but after thwarting Matthew a few times the goalie couldn`t stop his effort with 2 mins left to lad Matthews hat trick.
Pumas had time to get a consolation goal and we ended up convincing 7-1 winners
