Group Cup Match v Frampton

After 2 draws and a loss in the group so far we needed something from this game.

A very dull and wet morning was brightened by our performance. We had lost 7-1 earlier in the season to Frampton and they looked a strong side.

Just 2 minutes into the match Chappers pick the ball up just inside their half and dribbled past a couple of players to the right hand side of the goal and cut the ball back to the keepers right to put us 1-0 up.
We had to work hard to compete with Frampton. Jack made some good saves early on and Harrys passing helped us make attacks on their goal.
Jake and Hayden had chances but we couldn`t seem to get a second goal and the game habg in the balance for the first and second quarter with it staying at 1-0.
Noah and Freddie work working hard in midfield and their passing was excellent.
Once again Brayden was outstanding at the back but the game was so tight every attack by both sides met fierce tackling,
Just 2 minutes into the 3rd quarter Frampton equalised with a simular goal to Chappers and we then had to dig dip and work a lot harder.
Keith asked Jake to stay up front and Hayden to track back more and just 2 minutes later it worked. After good work from Noah and Freddie the ball bounced to Hayden who slotted it in behind the defence where Jake was free to slot the ball home.
So we entered the last quarter 2-1 up but we seem to be creating more chances. Hayden hit the post but 3 minutes after the break Noah made a lovely pass again to Jake who turned and pushed the ball home from close range to make it 3-1. Jack again made some important saves and Brayden was there on hand to stop any danger.
Jake landed his hat trick 2 minutes from the end of the game to give us a 4-1 win.

This was one of the best performances i have seen by an under 9s team in years.
