A beautiful autumnal day, slightly chilly but sunny was the setting for our second league match of this season. Having seen Chippenham’s hammering they gave Aretians last weekend we weren’t sure what to expect, especially with us being in different leagues last season. This was our home turf.
After a warmup and the routine ref talk, kick off fast approached with the women eager to get going. Within the first 5 mins we were on the scoreboard with a quick try and conversion. Not long after we scored again and was easily converted. We were soon 21-0 up. Chippenham’s head were dropping slightly but they managed to get across the try line but were unable to make the conversion. We continued to put points on the board with Chippenham managing to score a second unconverted try. The match ended 57-10.
Our Forward of the match went to our captain Jemma. A strong performance throughout as always and force to be reckoned with. Back of the match went to Alexandra who weaved in and out, taking big hits.
