Despite taking the lead in the 6th minute from a goal by centre back Dec Gallagher Ashton couldn't capitalise further and push on for the win. The pitch was difficult to say the least but of course the same for both teams as the weather also played it's part.
Burscough equalised in the 70th minute and held on for the point.
