A fine debut for Aron Lancaster at senior level playing stand off alongside fellow Colt Jack Pietsch helped Ashton to a good win.

Ten of Ashtons seconds were 20 years or under, Travis Powell was Man of the Match playing in the unacoustomed role of hooker scoring a try and penalty. Alex Galbraith returned from Chester Uni and had a strong game, Jack Pietsch running his socks off as usual ,Ryan Riedsma at scrum half added a penalty and conversion and linked well will stand off Aron Lancaster, Josh Meredith on one wing and try scoring Adam Goodwin on the other with Luke Turner at centre. James Bower came off the bench and made an impact as did Jack Schofield returning from injury again.
It was a great team effort against a bigger side and the visitors stood up well to their direct style of play. Well done to all players who have pulled on the shirt this year.
The seconds have climbed to tenth in Div 4 East , a great improvement after a rocky start, keep up the hard work lads.
Hope you all have a brilliant festive period, starting today( for some) with the Childrens Christmas party at 2pm.
