We are delighted to announce that the club has re-signed first team captain Mark Lees for the upcoming 2017/18 Evo-Stik League Northern Premier - Premier Division season!

The local hero extends his second spell at the club after making his Robins’ debut as a teenager. The ex-Stockport County player’s versatility is highly valuable as he can play in defence as well as his favoured position - midfield.

When operating in the middle of the park, Lees controls the tempo of the game and spreads the play well, taking the pressure off the defence. His composure on the ball is a huge asset for this Ashton United side as he dominates the midfield.
