We are now in what is termed officially by the Football Association as the "close season". Something of a misnomer, because for the administration side of the football club, one season now seems to merge from one into another, as club secretaries deal with new affiliations to their parent County Football Association, prepare for and attend the various leagues' Annual General Meetings [we go to 4 for teams in our club] and assisting in arrangements for pre-season friendlies.
The club had its own Annual General Meeting a couple of weeks ago and new committee members were elected.
We shall be reporting more fully on the AGM, the various leagues' AGM's that we are attending, listing dates and opponents for our pre-season friendlies for the first team, reserves and under 18's teams, changes to football personnel and other news in about two weeks time, once all the various meetings are out of the way.
In the meantime enjoy, if you can, your weekends free of football (apart from the current Womens World Cup) until 1st July 2019 when the new 2019/2020 season officially opens.
