Where do I start with this one?
We were on a high after Saturday's result against Dorking, but we just never turned up to this one. We started the game really badly giving away cheap free kicks and possession, we then got undone by a long throw to make it 0 – 1. Soon after that their player found himself one on one and lobbed the keeper to make it 0 – 2. Bagshot played with a big guy up top who caused us problems all day and he received the ball on the edge of the area and half turned to smash the ball home for 0 – 3 at half time.
A few choice words were had at half time as well as a couple of substitutions, we started the second half brightly but a clumsy foul in the area and Bagshot were awarded a penalty. It was slotted away comfortably sending the keeper the wrong way 0 – 4, you could tell that it wasn’t our day and that they were out performing us in every department.
The game was summed up when a quick free kick found a Bagshot player at the far post unmarked to make it 0 – 5. Hopefully this is a big wake up call for the players and a one off result. Things don’t get any easier as we entertain Banstead on Saturday who have started the season extremely well.
We have an important couple of weeks ahead.
