DEWSBURY CELTIC v ASKAM

ASKAM return to Dewsbury for the 2nd week on the trot and are on the crest of a wave and go with an air of confidence following last weeks 36-24 National Conference Division Two win at high flying 3rd placed Thornhill.

Dan Sayle, Jonathan Walsh and Barry Pugh return, while Jamie Butler, Gareth Richards and Tom Wilkinson are unavailable.

Coach Mike Wilson said: “We had a great win at Thornhill – their first home defeat for some time. This week we are missing Jamie Butler and Tom Willinson who get through a lot of work in the middle unit but we have Baz Pugh and Dan Sayle returning which is a big bonus. I was happy with the win last week but will be looking for an improved defensive display this week. We have scored 34 and 38 points in our last two games and our attack is improving week by week.”
