
Aspatria hit the road for a long away trip to West Yorkshire to take on Pennine League outfit, Ackworth Jaguars, in the BARLA National Cup. It will be the second match of the season for the Hornets after their 40-12 defeat to Maryport in a preseason game a couple of weeks ago.
The Jaguars will be battle-hardened as they play in the Pennine League First Division, which is a winter league. The club count Leeds Rhinos legend, Rob Burrow as a former coach so Aspatria know that they will be have to play well to get anything out of the game.
Whatever the outcome, it will be a great experience for the younger members of the squad and a chance to test themselves against some out of county opposition.
