AOE U16’s Junior Girls Win Silverware
The growing AOE junior girls, with support from TGRFC, took 2nd place at the Hinckley X7’s tournament
Aston Old Edwardians every growing junior girls section entered their first proper tournament on Sunday 6th November at Hinckley Rugby Club.
The Hinckley X7’s tournament hosted 6 teams in the U16’s group including; Hinckley, Rushden & Higham paired with St Ives, Meesham, Lutterworth, Oakham and Aston Old Edwardians paired with Trinity Guild.
The girls competed well, winning their first 4 fixtures, before competing against Oakham in the final round, and equally strong team with a clean sheet of scores. Oakham came out victorious in the final fixture with a score of 19-0.
Aston Old Edwardians paired with Trinity Guild came runners up in the tournament and are now the proud owners of a runners up trophy!
Coaches Julius Hunt & Jack Perry are proud of the girls and their achievement.
