In the 1st XV, Harry Vlahakis (Jnr) started at Full-back and was joined on the pitch by his Father Harry Vlahakis (Snr) in the league game against Birmingham Solihull. Whilst they had played together in the lower sides, this was the first occasion they had both seen action for the 1st XV together.
On the 2nds, Ollie Loffman, who made his senior debut last weekend, was joined by his father Matt Loffman (who gave up the opportunity last weekend to play his first game with his son, by agreeing to bench for the 1st XV).
Incidentally, if you add up the shirt numbers of all of the Loffman's who have played for AOE - you only just make it into double figures - clearly there are strong genetics in the Loffman family.
On Sunday, Sam Hart proudly took to the pitch for the Women's XV against Birmingham Moseley alongside her daughter Lucy Thewlis, who was making her senior debut. Equally as proud was father/grandfather Ross Hart (Captain of AOE 1973/4, and recent Past Chairman) - who became the 3rd Grandfather (after Eric Collis and Brian Roberts) to have both children and grandchildren represent the senior sides at AOE.
Congratulations to everyone involved.
