Helping out

Helping out

Paul Brooks13 Jun 2016 - 16:57

Aston United Football Club are currently looking for more volunteers to help out for the 2016-17 season.

Having won the Midland Regional Alliance Premier Division last season, a move into Step 7 of the National League System is on the cards, subject to ratification at the league AGM at the end of June. Due to the added work and responsibilities involved with the progression up the football pyramid, we need more help. We currently have the following matchday opportunities available:

Press Officer – Key responsibilities include updating of the twitter feed & facebook fan page as well as writing match reports for the pitchero website.

Gate Keeper – Our move up the league will now involve us taking a gate at home games. We need someone to handle the cash and admit the fans for up to 1 hour before the game until half time.

Canteen Helpers – In a bid to raise more funds and provide a better matchday experience for home & away fans, 2016-17 will see us provide a range of hot & cold food & drinks during the games with a particular emphasis on half-time refreshment.

Any relevant training or qualifications will be paid for by the club. For example, food hygiene certificate for food handlers if required.

If you're interested in getting involved, whether in any of the specific roles above or if you feel you can help out elsewhere, please get in touch via the contact page on pitchero
