Newport Pagnell vs Atherstone Town Match Highlights
Where do you start with that one…
After last week’s incredible comeback against Sileby had everyone bouncing, this was a frustrating reminder that football doesn’t always give you the same highs seven days later.
The bobbly surface made flowing football difficult, but the Adders never quite found the intensity or rhythm we’ve become used to this season.
Too often the game passed without us really taking control, and despite the effort, quality and urgency were in short supply.
The introduction of the substitutes in the second-half finally gave us a lift and injected some much-needed energy, but overall it was one of those afternoons where things just never truly clicked.
Credit to the lads — it was never a game that looked like slipping away — but we all know there’s more to come from this group.
The good thing about football….?
There’s always another game around the corner.
We go again on Tuesday evening with the re-arranged trip to Lutterworth Town, and your support will be as important as ever.
Let’s stick together, travel in numbers, and get right behind the boys as they look to respond the right way.
Yesterday’s Man-Of-The-Match was the ever reliable Jack Wells.
❤️??
