After finishing 5th in the league, Aveley will now travel to 2nd placed Maldon & Tiptree next Tuesday, the 30th of April, with the winners playing the winner of the second semi-final between Thamesmead Town and Witham Town on Sunday 5th May.
Aveley and Maldon have met twice this season in the league. On the opening day of the season Aveley were 2-1 up, thanks to goals from Junior Dadson and Paul Burnett, before a late Jamie Guy free-kick made it 2-2.
Their most recent meeting came in March when a man of the match performance from the Maldon goalkeeper, Joe Wright, meant the two sides played out another draw, this time with the score ending 0-0.
Maldon have a imperious home record this season, winning 15, drawing six and losing none of their 21 home league games this season, but should Aveley get past them on Tuesday night they will travel to either Thamesmead or Witham for the final with the team placed highest in the final hosting the match.
Kick off will be at 7.45pm with both semi-finals being played on the same night and extra time and penalties will be played if required.
