The 2019/20 season has been ended with immediate effect and all results will be expunged.

The Football Association have released this statement:
As a result, The Fa and the Leagues at Step 3 to 6 of the NLS have therefore reached a consensus that, the 2019/20 season for Steps 3 to 6 will be ended with immediate effect and all results will be epunged. This will mean no promotion or relegation of clubs between Steps 3 to 6, or relegation from Step 2.

In light of the above, these decision will also apply to the Leagues and Clubs who play at Step 7 of the National League System.

The FA will continue to assist and support The National League (Steps 1 and 2 of the NLS) to determine the outcome of its 2019/20 season as quickly as possible.

The planned implementation of the restructure of the NLS will be deferred until the start of the 2021/22 season. The decisions reached by the NLS Leagues will be recommended to the FA Board and FA Council for final ratification.

Statement ends.

Millers Chief Executive, Craig Johnson had this to say on the FA's decision for the 2019/20 season: We are deeply disappointed with the decision given we could have directly benefited from it being a PPG outcome. However, some would have lost out at the other end of the table.

Whilst it is a blow to us the main issue with the whole of the football family should concentrate on now is the health and well-being of everyone.

Football will carry on.

As Billy Shankley admirer his famous quote "Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude, I can assure them it is much more serious than that". Perhaps certainly not the case when reality kicks in.

Be safe everyone and we hope to see you all when we can.
