The Millers slow start to the game cost them the three points in the match as Soham took the first 60 minutes, and all three points.
The deadlock was broken and it was the hosts who took the lead. Stanley won the ball off the Aveley defence, his shot was saved by James Marrable, it landed to Ryan Sharman who finished well into the back of the net for 1-0 Soham.

The Millers could’ve levelled it up but Danny Francis fired over from close range, when it could’ve been easier to score.

Soham caught the Millers on the counter attack to double their lead. Pace down the left hand side beat Mathias Bakare, the ball was squared into the middle and tapped in by Simpson. 2-0 Soham.
The Millers did pull a goal back with five minutes remaining, the ball landed to Danny Francis who lashed home, but it was too little, too late for the Millers.
