"What a game of football that was on Tuesday Night, the match had everything; goals, sending offs, and young talent being shown off.
We went 1-0 down early on. Then a little bit after our goalkeeper, (James Marrable) gets sent off after a nasty collision with their striker. Was even worse because James suffered a nasty injury, and we are yet to know how long he'll be out for.
It was only 25 minutes gone in the game. So I called all the players over to the bench and asked them, who will go in goal? Baring in mind we don't have a keeper on the bench. Our right back on his debut offered to go in goal, then 15 minutes later we are 2-0 down.
In the second half we dominated the match till the end. We score a great goal, top corner from the edge of the box from Nashey. We then create chance after chance but just can't take them.
Then one of Heybridge's player gets sent off for kicking one of my players. Then when receiving the card he spits in the referees face.
We then score to make it 2-2 to set up a great finale. And now it looks like it would've been only one winner in us.
But then we make a mistake in the last minute and Heybridge Swifts score the winner against the run of play.
Must say, well done to Heybridge and good luck for the rest of the season.
Despite the result I was so proud of everyone of my players, we had seven players cup tied or unavailable, which was the same as Heybridge to be fair.
But to have four 18 year-olds and two 20 year olds play was great.
Even though we lost, I must say it was one of my favourite games, for some reason I really enjoy it. I think it was just that never say die attitude from the players and good football from both sides.
Thank you to all the travelling fans backing the boys too!

See you all at Phoenix Sports on Saturday Afternoon."
