Before the big match on the final day of the season tomorrow, we see what happened last time both sides met.

Essex Senior Cup Last 16
Tuesday 8th December 2015

Fresh from Fleet’s victory over the Miller's in the league just a few days prior to the Essex Senior Cup game in which it was Aveley who came out the winners.

The game started rather quietly as both sides eyed each other up in the early stages. Aveley were winning a lot of free-kicks with bad fouls from the Thurrock defence.
Reece Conway opened the scoring for the Millers, a free-kick into the box by Liam Nash landed kindly for the centre-midfielder and he calmly side footed it into the bottom corner with his left foot past the reserve keeper. [1-0].

Another Liam Nash set-piece caused all sorts of trouble, it wa caught in the wind and it drifted and hit the bar and went over.

Thurrock came back into the back in the last 15 minutes of the half and did ask some questions of the Miller's defence, which saw Spencer Harrison back in the side after a long absence out, due to injury.

Spencer Harrison cleared off the line from Keke Orth after he nipped in front of James Marrable to stab the ball towards goal but Harrison was on hand to clear in the nick of time.

Half Time- Thurrock 0-1 Aveley

Millers made two changes with Reece Conway coming off due to injury, and replaced by Arian Retkoceri. Petrit Elbi also came on for David Fallah.

Ten minutes after his introduction Petrit Elbi put the game out of sight for Thurrock. A lovely ball through from Paul Preston was into Elbi and he cooly powered it at the near post past the keeper. [2-0].

Nassim Dukali impressed with his ability to take players on, crosses into the box fell to Elbi and Teniola but they just couldn’t make it 3-0.

It really should’ve then been 3-0 to Aveley. Lovely link up play between Nash and Elbi, it fell back to Liam Nash in front of goal but he hacked at it and it went away from the target.

Full Time- Thurrock 0-2 Aveley.
