Alan has some personal issues that require him to dedicate more of his time to, and feels that the Manager's role at Aveley FC will suffer as a result should he continue in his position.

Alan spoke with both the Chairman & Secretary yesterday (Wednesday 17th November) and all parties are understanding of the plight of the team, and the difficulites Alan is experiencing on all fronts.

Club Secretary, Craig Johnson said, "We thank Alan, and his brother Garry for what the work they have done, and wish them both well for the future both inside and outside the game.

The team has struggled this term, and as is the norm, I have had enquiries about the position over the past few weeks. As far an a successor, both Graham and I spoke with a couple of interested parties yesterday, and this morning, and we hope to be in a postion to announce our new managment team this evening to the 1st team squad. A further announcment will be made hopefully later today."
