Marvel began his career in the academies of EFL sides Oxford United and Stevenage before making his breakthrough into senior football at North Greenford United.

After departing Stevenage Marvel joined Chelmsford City in the National South, securing a mid table position in 2015/16 and the following season finished in the play-off places. A move to East Thurrock United, Bishop’s Stortford and Hungerford Town across the 2017/18 and 2018/19 season earned the centre half a move to EFL League Two side Newport County.

Marvel signed a two year deal with the Welsh based club and made his debut in a 5-4 defeat to West Ham United in the EFL Trophy. In October 2019 he joined Ebbsfleet United on loan which was extended until the end of the season 2019/2020 season. In August 2020, Marvel re-joined Ebbsfleet on loan but his loan was ended early so the defender could join Macclesfield Town on a permanent deal, however, Macclesfield Town were wound up a month later.

In October 2020, Ekpiteta joined Dover Athletic making his debut in a 1–0 victory over Notts County. Following's Dover's decision to not play any more matches in the 2020/21 season, made in late January, and subsequent null and voiding of all results, on 5 May 2021 it was announced that Ekpiteta was out of contract and had left the club.

In the summer of 2021 Marvel joined Billericay Town playing 33 times in his first season for Ricay in the National South. Marvel stayed with Billericay the following season in the Isthmian Premier League making 49 appearances scoring four goals against Cray Wanderers, Potters Bar Town, Horsham and Kingstonian.

A move to Dulwich Hamlet and Hayes & Yeading followed for the 2023/24 season. For the 2024/25 season Marvel signed a one year deal with Isthmian Premier League side Folkestone Invicta, making 30 appearances as the Kent based side secured 12th in the Isthmian Premier League.

Heading into the new 2025/26 season, Marvel joins The Millers, and we look forward to seeing him in an Aveley kit.
