Ryman North- Midweek Results Round Up

Aveley Football Club13 Mar 2015 - 14:30

Results from the Ryman North and what they mean for the League Table.

Tuesday Night Results-

Brentwood 1-3 Needham Market-
A defeat for Brentwood hasn't really affected their play off hopes at all but are now three points clear of sixth placed Dereham Town. But the Blues do still have two games in hand of the Magpies.

Needham Market however now lead Harlow by five points after winning all their games in hand and now are in full control of the league with 8 games remaining of which one is against the second placed Hawks. It will go down to the wire.

Cheshunt 5-2 Barkingside-
A fantastic second half performance by Cheshunt firmly puts their survival in their own hands as they move 7 points clear having played 38 games. However Great Wakering 18th, Redbridge 19th, Romford 21st and Barkingside 22nd all have two games in hand on Cheshunt.

However this result was costly for Barkingside as they now go into the bottom three and swap places with Romford on goal difference, they were above them but because of these goals against now swapped places and see themselves in the relegation places.

Waltham Abbey 1-2 Dereham Town-
A superb away win for the Magpies as they go within three points off the play off spaces but they have played two games more then Brentwood. However on the 11th of April Brentwood travel to Dereham in what could be the last play off place decider.

For Waltham Abbey they stay in 13th place with 46 games from 35 games gone and have two games in hand on everyone from 8th to 17th placed.

Ware 0-0 Burnham Ramblers-
In isolation from how the league has gone for Burnham Ramblers this fantastic point away, clean sheet on a Tuesday night in Ware is one of performances of season for a Burnham side who are all but confined to relegation.

Ware however a win was really a must to keep their play off hopes alive. But a draw keeps the, 11 points off fifth place with 27 points left on offer.

Wroxham 2-1 Cray Wanderers-
The Yachtsmen take a step towards securing their play off spot with 2 goals in two minutes. They now have 71 points from 37 games and are four points clear of Dereham Town and with a game in hand.

For Wanderers however, games are running out for the Kent side to save themselves. They are on 22 points from 35 games. And Cray are still 12 points off safety.
