In 1973 the club merged with Wood Green Town, which had been a breakaway from Tufnell Park in 1911, playing as Tufnell Spartans until 1920, and moved to Wood Green's Coles Park. The new club was named Edmonton & Haringey, before adopting its current name in 1976.

The club was transferred to the Essex Senior League for the 2013-14 season, where their tenants Greenhouse London also play.

Can Borough be the Surprise Package of 2015/16 campaign?
Short answer, yes. They have the momentum and with the players if they can keep most from last seasons league champions, then they will definitely be a force to be reckoned with. Many have touted them as the dark horses in the league and other see them making a big charge towards the Ryman North play off places. Only time will tell in the 2015/16 Ryman North campaign.
