The last meeting between these two clubs came in the Essex Senior Cup Quarter Final where the Millers won the game 2-1

It was a game under the lights to get to the last four of the Essex County Cup and the Millers edged a nervy encounter.

This was a very slow paced game with few chances for either side, Thompson beat Preston for pace and crossed in for Robbie Farrell who shot was blocked.

Millers had two of the clearer chances as Elbi stun the gloves of Walker and minutes later Walker saved well again.

Clarke then lashed wide for Thurrock as Marrable came to claim the ball he couldn't get there it landed to Clarke but he fired wide.

The deadlock was finally broken after a superb cross by Mathias Bakare lands to Elbi who finished with a-plom. 1-0 Aveley

Thurrock played better after the break and got their deserved equaliser through Robbie Farrell who has two goals in two games after scoring against leaders Harlow. Farrell cut inside and curled his shot into the bottom corner. 1-1.

With the Millers next attack they went back in front, Theo Ola beat his man and looped a ball to Marcus Elliott who headed home inside the near post. 2-1 Aveley.

Thurrock had a chance to send it to penalties but Lamar Reynolds shot straight at Marrable.

Full Time 2-1 Aveley.

This will be the fourth meeting between these clubs this season; the Millers have won two, once mentioned above and the other at Ship Lane in the FA Cup, but Thurrock have the biggest victory as Stimmo's men won 4-0 at Mill Field.
