We travelled to Brentwood two days after our Cup Tie Away at Thurrock which we won 2-0 and were on a winning run of 11 games.
We went to Brentwood Town and although battled in the second half the first ten minutes of the game put us 2-0 down and gave us a mountain to climb.
In the opening minute of the game a ball over the top sent Courtney White through and he scored a fantastic volley. 1-0 Brentwood.
Only five minutes later Brentwood doubled their lead as they breached down our right hand side, the ball was crossed across the six yard box and Sherwin Stanley was on hand to convert into the goal. 2-0 Brentwood.
It took quite a long time for the Millers to get back into the game as Marcus Elliott did hard work down the left and passed it to Petrit Elbi on the edge of the area, he lashed home into the bottom corner to give the Millers a glimmer of hope just before the break. 2-1 Brentwood.
The Millers dominated the second half and had chance after chance but Brentwood's keeper and defence stood strong and as Aveley threw everything at them Brentwood countered down the left hand side. The ball was crossed into the box and the unmarked Courtney White tapped in from close range. Brentwood 3-1 Aveley.
