The last outing between Wanderers and the Millers was played out at Hayes Lane.

After The Millers looked in control for 85 minutes, a late double salvo from 10-man Cray Wanderers took the share of the spoils. Which was also the Millers first draw of the season.

The Millers took the lead as Alex Stavrinou played the ball to Danny Francis whose shot was well saved but Marcus Elliott tapped in to make it 1-0 Aveley.

Soon after half time Aveley doubled their lead in comical fashion as a mistake from the goalkeeper left Junior Baker with a tap in from six yards out. 2-0 Aveley.

Minutes later Cray halved the deficit as danger-man Ian Daly headed in unmarked from close range. 2-1 Aveley.

Cray then found themselves down to ten men as Lee Weemes was taken down by already booked Boliji, and the referee had no choice but to award him a second yellow and Cray were down to ten.

Paul Preston helped in giving the Millers some breathing space as he crossed superbly for Danny Francis to smash home. 3-1 Aveley.

But back came spirited the Amber Army. Hill was allowed to run and run and run without any challenge on him, he moved his way into the box, shot across Marrable and pulled a goal back with five minutes remaining plus added time.

The ball landed to Welford on the edge of the area and he angled his shot into the top corner to perfection to level the game up. Cray 3-3 Aveley.

Cray almost won it at the end but a super block from Spencer Harrison denied Welford and Cray from nicking all three points.

Cray Wanderers 3-3 Aveley FC.
